Safety at sea posters

To mark the International Year of the Seafarer (2010), the Chamber of Shipping launched this series of health and safety posters - designed by seafarers for seafarers

The posters were originally designed by seafarers in an annual competition, open to anyone who had or was, working in the merchant navy.  Seafarers suggested the most pertinent subjects based on their own experiences.  As a result, the posters cover all aspects of work on a ship, from using machine guards to keeping stairs and walkways clear or making hatches and movable objects secure at sea.

The posters are clear and simple and convey essential safety messages in a quick and direct manner – exactly what is needed wherever there are hazards on ship.

The posters are A3 size, printed on good quality, medium weight paper, suitable for inside display.  Scroll down to see all of the designs in the series.

Posters cost £1.50 for members; £2.00 for non-members. Please add standard charge of £5 per order for post and packing (UK only)
Postage costs for orders outside the UK will be advised on receipt of order.
