Naval architect joins the Chamber

The Chamber of Shipping has appointed a new naval architect, Adrian Lester.

Adrian Lester joins the Chamber of Shipping’s technical department and replaces Paul Holman.  Paul Holman retires on Friday 30th May after 13 years valued service.

Adrian will be responsible for the following specialisms: construction and equipment, ship stability, fire protection, loadline, tonnage measurement and the British Rig Owners’ Association. He also has a strong interest in environmental issues, with an MSc in Oceanography, and will assist Rob Ashdown in that particular area.

Adrian previously worked as a naval architect with the MCA based in Southampton and is a graduate member of The Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA).
